Mission

The goal of the RI-MUHC Bioinformatics Patform is to accelerate genomic research at the RI-MUHC and its applications in clinical practice, and to respond to local needs in research, health services and industry arising from the ongoing genomic revolution.

Our mission is to build bioinformatics/computational biology (B/CB) capacity at the RI-MUHC to ensure that researchers, and ultimately patients, derive maximum benefits from genomic data. We are dedicated to:

• Providing analytic tools and support in computational genomics
• Implementing training activities and material in bioinformatics
• Supporting management and integration of laboratory and clinical data
• Accelerating the translation of computational genomic tools to healthcare uses
